Hey Nathan - Yes indeed, First Gear makes some AWESOME cars and trucks in 1/25th scale. I was introduced to them about 10-12 years ago when WIX Filters came out with the 1/25 scale 34 Ford Hotrod, then they went to Ertl for the Dodge Power Wagon, then came back to First Gear with a 37 Chevy Tudor, then to Icons for their incredible 427 Cobra, then the Ford GT 40 427, etc, etc! I have all of them, and will try to get some pictures for you. Here are some that I have from memory all by First Gear: 57 Chevy 150, 49 Merc, 40 Ford, 37 Chevy, 32 Ford, 33 Ford, 33 Willys, 55 Nomad, 67 Chevy Pickup, 72 Ford Pickup, 39 IH Pickup, 70 Mustang, 70 Challenger, 69 Camaro, 69 El Camino, and others. One way I was able to collect a lot of these was when CARQUEST Auto Parts had them in their series...they started out with Ertl, kinda like Wix Filters did, then switched over to First Gear when they started making 1/25 cars and trucks. Remember when Eastwood Automotive came out with the 60 B-Model Mack Tractor? - First Gear!! Awesome truck BTW - I don't have one, but it is on my list. I do however, have their incredible 1960 B-Model Mack tandem axle tow truck - part of the NAPA series! Also, the NAPA series has a bunch of First Gear products in it too - and I have these - 55 Nomad, 60 Mack, 56 Ford Pick up, 69 El Camino, 55 IH Van, and a couple of others, all First Gear. Another question for you - have you looked into Unique Replicas' Crown Series? Wow, you gota check them out - some fantastic models - 34 Ford 1 1/2 ton trucks, 35 Chevy 1 1/2 ton trucks including an express pu, and a delivery van, 57 Chevies, 56 T-Birds, 69 Camaro, 69 Chevelle, etc - each has a sprung suspension and engine detail, opening doors etc. Well worth looking into...I will get you come pictures!!
Wow, what a novel......

WOW, Co - Owner!! Geees, I am honored! Yes indeed, I have a bunch of First Gear models, mostly 1/25th, but also some 1/32 trucks as well. Have you taken a look at their BIG bulldozers in 1/25th? The have an IH TD25, and a gigantic Allis Chalmers HD41 dozer, plus some smaller ones! Also, 1st Gear makes a bunch of models for the Antique and Historical Construction Equipment Society (? wording) like Cat D9s, Cat DW20 Tractors, Scrapers etcetc! Great stuff, little expensive for me right now, but watch out when I win the lottery!!! Now remember, these bad boys are 1/25 scale - HUGE - and the HD41 makes the D9 look little!! Doesn't hurt to dream! Dave B - Bayouman

Yes I did, and we still have ALL of them!! They are in the garage at Mom's house in New Mexico! We wore the tires and treads off most of them. Had a HUGE sandbox/dirt pile when we lived in Birmingham, so we used to have all of our friends over and build roads and tunnels all day long! We have two Texaco GMC Tankers, a Tonka Clam Shell bucket crane, three bulldozers with tracks, two wheeled bulldozers, two Ford dump trucks, one tandem axel Buddy L dump, a Tonka Roadgrader, Tonka scraper, four pickups(two Fords, two others), two jeeps etc etc !! Havn't seen them in some time, but I know they are still there. My brother is guarding them closely...! HAHA. When we could, we would bring out the Matchbox too - wow, still got them too - King size and all....! Great memories! Plus, I have all my NZG and other construction equipment in 1/50th scale.....one day I will get a chance to photograph them..... I HAVE to get one of those 1st Gear Cat DW20 tractors and maybe the scraper if I can afford it. When they were building I-10 out in New Mexico, we lived about 1 mile from the construction area. The company would bring ALL of their big machines there for storage and work that could be done overnight. My brother and I would go out there everyday and check out the equipment. Got to be friends with the foreman and he would tell us about them. WOW, to a kid in elementary school, those machines were gigantic!! Anyway, got to see them working, and even could see them on the road going out to the roadbed construction site - you know those things could travel at about 45 MPH with a full load?!! Wow, that is awe inspiring to see one of those bad boys traveling that fast...! Getting pushed up the dirt pit wall by a D9 Dozer, or hooking two or three of the scrapers together - two engines each, slugging it out up the hill, smoke pouring out of all stacks, man!! thanks for stirring up all those memories!
