Hey Fendermender!! GREAT find on the boat! I was able to pick one up at a flea market too, but not for $10! That trailer is a model all on it's own. Love both of the Chevies. Miasto does good work for the price. Got a bunch of them in my collection, along with Wellys too. Keep em comin, and post away! Oh, let us know how the fishin trip turns out. Make sure the landing is in a good place, I would be worried about that truck all day long! HAHA. lol........

I love the Bass Boats, I used to work for a man who owned a place that got those in new, and I did New Boat preparation, which entailed installing the Bass-o-metere and trolling meters and all the accessories that the customers wanted.

Hey Nathan - Not sure how I missed this post before! I worked at Bass Pro Shops just recently as the Service Writer and New Boat Orientation Coordinator! Got to prep new boats, oversee installation of accessories, test drive and orient the new owners with the boats. It was a BLAST to ride in the huge pond in front of the store, in anything from bateaus to High Performance Bass Boats, Off shore monsters and party barges. Some of the bass boats with 275hp Mercury Pro SX engines - these boats are fully capable of over 100mph - got some upto 90 on the pond! Even had one high performance three log party barge with TWO 250hp Mercury Pro SX engines - 75 MPH in the pond! We also outfitted a 30' aluminum skiff with a 300hp Mercury Verado engine - all digital, tourque out the wazzoo, and super fast, but would not turn at all, the flat bottom would just slide.....hadto shut her down and let the hull settle before it would turn, scary, but a blast! You and I have gone down some of the same paths!!

Hey Nathan - Looks like Fendermender found the boat at a thrift shop for ten bucks! Wow, what a steal. Action collectibles made a nice selection of die cast bass boats, they were Nitros and Rangers if I remember correctly. The Action trailers do not all have felt padding on the bunks, but I think all of the Danbury Mints have the felt. It appears that Fendermender really got a fantastic find! After doing some research, I am not so sure that Action Castaway might have made the Ranger for Danbury, kinda like the SunStar Model T Fords. I have seen the Danbury Mint Rangers listed at anywhere from $150.00 up to $350.00, and the Actions anywhere from $20.00 to $150+ ! Danbury also made a FANTASTIC Lund deep V aluminum fishing boat that is getting extremely hard to find, but would sure look good behind ANY of my pickup trucks! One day.......
