Hi, name is Bruce, just found this site. Quick question, are 300 Hotwheels ( I don't know if they are redline or classic) worth $800? My neighbor ejho been collecting for years says he sell the whole thing to me. I just would like to have them to pass on to my grandsons. Also, I keep hereing that they are going to stop making Hotwheels due to cost, low sells and what not, any thoughts?

Hey Bruce....welcome to our forum! It will all depend on which ones they are as to the worth, and what condition they are in. At about 2.50 each, roughly, not a bad price. Also, they ate the largest car company in the world, real or not, and we haven't heard any rumors what so ever. So, ii say NOT TRUE! Let us know what you do....

Thanks for the reply.. I don't think he knows that the cost of Hot wheels as well as Nascar Die-cast price have relay bottom out. He told me he'll sell them for $4 each. I said I can find them for $2 each so unless they are pre-1980 I don't want them. But in a little mom and pop ran store I visit once on a while the owner has for sell the first issue Hot wheels, tho they are not in the bubble with card they look pretty good shape. The VW bug, green of course sells for $125. Just a little to high for a unemployed person. But it was nice to look at those cars.

I hear ya. Yeah, four each might be great, and might be too high too! Some of the old first issues are at stupid high prices! But, they are really only worth what someone will pay for them, so I guess it depends if he wants to really sell or not. Let us know, and keep on keeping on! Dave B.

All I have to say is that I have some "PRICELESS HOT WHEELS" that I will never get rid of, some you can't even find anymore. And I won't even go anywhere with my Adult Hot Wheels. The only 1/64ths that I have, I JUST can't bring myself to part with. And I have alot of other brands of them as I am sure many of you do too!
